Silvia Regina Brandalise graduated in Medicine from Escola Paulista de Medicina-UNIFESP (1967); residency in Pediatrics at Escola Paulista de Medicina-UNIFESP (1967-1969). He completed his PhD in Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, State University of Campinas-UNICAMP (1975). Founding member and president of the Children’s Center for Hematological Investigations Member of the GENOMA Clinical Project (2008-2010); Member of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Technical Committee of the Ministry of Health; Member of the Pediatric Cancer Epidemiology Working Group in cooperation with the International Childhood Cancer Consortium (I4C) WHO, NIH, USA (2007-2013); Member of the Working Group of the Hemoglobinopathies Control and Prevention Program, linked to WHO (2007-2010); Agreement with the Pediatric Specialty Hospital of Maracaibo, Venezuela (2007-2011); participation in the International Acute Promielocytic Protocol (2007-2012). Elected President of the South American Continent of the Société Internationale de l’Oncologie Pédiatrique – SIOP, (2011-2014). Member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology – ASPHO (2011-2014).

Dr. Mayank Singhal, Methodist University, USA.

Dr. Mayank Singhal is currently working as a Board Certified Academic Hospitalist at Cape Fear Valley Hospital and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, Methodist University, NC, USA. He is also involved in teaching Internal Medicine Residents and students in the capacity of Faculty for Internal Medicine Residency at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, USA. He did his Internal Medicine Residency from University of North Dakota, USA and completed his Board Certification in American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is a member of various professional societies and has been invited as a Judge in prestigious conferences like Society of Hospital Medicine and American College of Physicians. He is also active as a Reviewer for scholarly articles and member of Editorial board for journals. His areas of interest are Academic medicine and clinical research.

Dr. Rakeshwar has more than 80 papers including patents and book chapters published/accepted in various International Journals. Notably, in the area of Organic Chemistry, Dr. Rakeshwar has coauthored a chapter in the book entitled “Green Chemistry in Pharmaceutical industry”.
He has won the various awards in his career e.g. Chairman Excellence Award in the category of individual functional excellence, Best Cost Leadership Award for the development of Lopinavir, Ritonavir & their components and Anveshan Award at Dr. Reddy’s. As a part of organizational building efforts, he also supervises master’s & Ph.D. students in their dissertations. He has been invited in several conferences e.g. IIT-Mumbai, IGCW-2009, BIT-Ranchi, BITS Pilani, 9th Heterocyclic Conference, University of Florida, JNTU-Hyderabad, ISCB-2011, Apollo Hospitals Educational & Research Foundation, Hyderabad etc. to deliver lectures. He is also currently acting as an Associate Editor of GERF Bulletin of Bioscience. Recently, he has become a member National Advisory Board of Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists.

In the initial stages of his research career, he worked in the area of cardiovascular complications (Vascular and endothelial dysfunction) associated with metabolic syndrome, in vitro tissues experiments and diabetes. Since 2006, He have been working in the area of Nano toxicology (Toxicity associated with Nanomaterials and Nano drug delivery systems), Genotoxicity, Nano drug delivery of anticancer, anti-diabetic drugs. His areas of research interest are Novel strategies to improve the drug delivery to tumor, Role of tumor fibrosis in Nano drug delivery, Oral drug delivery of various poorly water soluble drugs, In vitro 3D culture based tumor models for drug screening and Inhalation toxicity. He also proposing the studies based on Inhalation delivery of drugs and formulations to treat lung cancer and pulmonary diseases. The research work accomplished so far has been published in many of reputed journals and has been widely cited by scientific community.
